About the Journal

Revart – specialized review of theory & critique of arts  is a peer-reviewed journal, which aims to serve as a leading platform for exchanging ideas and findings from researchers across arts. The journal prefers the submitted manuscript, which meets the internationally accepted criteria and the style of the journal for the purpose of both reviewing and editing. The journal is an international collection of all kinds of ideas, experiences and approaches involving the role and purpose of arts.

The journal's activity began in 2004 and has been continuously improved. In 2010, the journal was indexed in the international databases EBSCO and CEEOL. In 2010, it participated in the scientific publications evaluation competition organized by the National Council for Scientific Research in Higher Education of Romania, where it obtained the B+ classification (no. 269, Code CNCSIS 992), https://cncsis.gov.ro/userfiles/file/CENAPOSS/etapa31(1).pdf,

and in 2020, it participated in a new classification competition organized by the National Council for Scientific Research of Romania, where it obtained the B category (no. 160) https://www.cncs-nrc.ro/wp-content/uploads/2016/12/categorii.Reviste.Site_.CNCS_.2020.pdf

Currently, RevArt is also indexed in the RILM database under the Journal title section, via EBSCO.

Since 2013, the journal has changed its visual identity, and the new graphics were created by designer Armand Acea.

For many years, the journal has been funded through editorial project competitions.

Starting in 2024, the journal will be self-financed through publication fees, which are paid upon notification of acceptance of the paper, following the review process.

The journal is published biannually. The deadlines for submitting contributions for evaluation are: March 15 for issue 1, and September 15 for issue 2.

Special issues are published within institutional partnerships, for projects, conferences or symposia that do not have their own publications.
